Data on a complete cure for such a serious disease as HIV infection, provided by researchers at the Ragon Institute of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard. This patient is 66-year-old Loreen Willenburg, who was diagnosed 28 years ago and probably suffered the disease without proper treatment.

After studying her medical history, doctors concluded that the woman's body is strong enough and capable of independently fighting infections. The patient was followed for more than twenty years, according to the latest analyzes of her testing using one of the most advanced technologies, the results showed tiny particles of the virus, unable to replicate (multiply).

At the moment, two cases of cure for HIV infection have been confirmed in the world: American Timothy Ray Brown and "London patient" Adam Castillejo, who received a bone marrow transplant. In July, Brazilian scientists announced the third case of a probable cure for HIV infection, so-called aggressive treatment was applied to. The patient received antiretroviral therapy, as well as nicotinamide (vitamin B3), which "awakens" the latent virus, making it more vulnerable to immunity.

HIV recoveries have become a huge breakthrough in the treatment of this disease and provide a powerful boost of energy and motivation for scientists specializing in this industry, and for patients who accept their disease as a death sentence.
