During the pandemic, a huge number of drugs were tested for the selection of specific therapy for CVI. For example, the World Health Organization launched a study called "Solidarity" to select the most promising drugs. And the UK has announced the effectiveness of Dexamethasone to save the lives of patients with severe coronavirus infection. Research is also ongoing on the use of the blood of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Empirically, a sample of the most effective groups of drugs is carried out: antiviral (drugs that directly affect the virus), immunomodulators (drugs that affect the immune system) and antibodies from people who have been ill.

Tests of the antiviral drug Remdesivir have shown its high efficiency in comparison with other antiviral agents. It is known that antiviral drugs are most effective only in the early stages of the disease, and immunomodulators manifest themselves at a later date. So far, the UK government has approved two drugs as the most effective therapy for Covid-19: Dexamethasone and Remdesivir.

The outcome of the pandemic is unknown, so we can only take care of ourselves and our loved ones, using personal protective equipment, leading a healthy lifestyle and listening to government demands.
