Recently, we made a publication about a completely new method for diagnosing COVID-19. This is a sensor that is able to distinguish between the breathing patterns of a healthy person and an infected person. It determines the presence of coronavirus in the human body with an accuracy of 99.9 percent, and, most importantly, the duration of this procedure takes only 2 minutes.

Digital diagnostics using a device similar to a breathalyzer is able to detect not only the presence of the virus, but also the presence of antibodies to it. More over, this sensor was developed under the guidance of the Swiss professor Risto Orava and with the participation of 23-year-old scientist from Kazakhstan Azhken Bakhtiyar.

At the time of the previous publication, the sensor was already in Kazakhstan. Its capabilities are being studied at the National Scientific Center for Cardiac Surgery in the city of Nur-Sultan. The last few days have been actively preparing for clinical trials. The working group reached a number of important agreements, starting with the permission of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Tsoi A.V. ending with the approval of the ethics committee.

Today, 22.07.20, at 11:00, the calibration of this device has finally started. The project participants were admitted to the COVID-19 patient area. Purpose of Calibration: Teaching the sensor to improve its performance.

Due to its high accuracy and speed, digital diagnostics has enormous testing potential. The active introduction of this method in the current situation could save millions of lives.

We are all eagerly awaiting the results of such an ambitious study and will keep you updated with the latest news!
