Announcement: Milk is the product that causes the most controversy among nutritionists and supporters of good nutrition: "What do cows feed so that they are given milk uninterruptedly? Is milk as useful now as it used to be?" We find out where the truth is and where the myths are.

Just a couple of years ago, milk and dairy products were considered the key to health and energy. But today, a large number of people refuse to eat dairy products. On the Internet you can find more and more sources of information about the harm of dairy products. The current "gurus" of healthy eating actively promote gluten-free and active consumption of omega-3. And strange as it may seem, milk has found itself on the list of banned products. Milk is the product that causes the most disputes among nutritionists and supporters of good nutrition.

At the moment, there are more and more questions about the nourishing drink, and by no means positive. The dietary value of milk, which 20 years ago there was absolutely no doubt about it, is now under serious criticism. Opponents of milk and dairy products have a lot of arguments, ranging from ethical (inhumane use of animals) to medical (intolerance of milk due to lack of certain enzymes). This question is at its peak, and so far the final point in this dispute has not been put. However, it can be said with certainty that the tolerance of whole milk, as well as its components and, consequently, the possible harm from it is extremely individual and completely dependent on genetic characteristics.

Speaking about the benefits of cow's milk, many people refer to the presence of calcium and vitamin D in it together with fats. However, now many scientists are not sure about the postulate that milk is necessary for healthy bones. In addition, dairy products contain significant amounts of saturated fats and retinol, which in turn, in high concentrations can weaken bone structure. There is also another dark side to the coin: processed, sterilized and pasteurized milk is sold on the shelves of supermarkets and stores. Such milk is not harmful in terms of bacteria, but it is also not useful, because it lacks most of the vitamins, enzymes and beneficial bacteria. Experts say that whole cow's milk has a lot of so-called growth factors - substances that are similar to hormones in their structure. For an adult, the growth factors have nothing but health problems. They increase the risk of uncontrolled cell division and, consequently, the formation of various tumors. They also increase the secretion of sebaceous glands, promote excessive cell division, which in turn leads to the appearance of various inflammation on the skin.

Is milk harmful at all? There is no unequivocal answer. The only correct tactic is to listen to your own body, to see if there are any changes as you consume milk and dairy products. If there are no complaints and good medical reasons to avoid dairy products, eat, remembering that even the healthiest foods are good in measure.
