In connection with the pandemic, elementary preventive examinations at the dentist have become rare, which consequently poses a threat to the health of children's teeth from an early age.

In USA, parents were surveyed by the CS Mott Children's Hospital National Children's Health Survey about their problems in providing health care for their children. Most of the parents began to complain about the problem of visiting dentists for preventive examinations, problems with care and brushing their teeth due to the closure of private dental clinics, lack of funding and loss of work.

Pediatric dentist and American Dental Association official Dr. Jonathan Shenkin said that procrastination with preventive treatment can lead to children developing tooth decay, which in turn is the strongest indicator of risk in adulthood. He also expressed his opinion about the significant impact of the pandemic on children's health in general: "Many pediatric practices are open clinics, and children are really close to each other, which, of course, we can no longer do. We need separation, we need to have barriers, we need to separate the children." Not only that, some measures to prevent Covid-19 transmission limit the number of patients that dentists can take, Shenkin explained.

Another important factor is the diet of children and timely care for your mouth after a meal. Teeth should be cleaned twice a day, limit the use of sugar, which causes tooth decay from an early age.
