In America, drug overdose deaths have skyrocketed, according to the medical journal CNN. Thus, the death rates from drug overdose in the United States, according to statistics from the US Center for Disease Control and the National Center for Health Prevention, last year increased by 4.8%.
According to the data received, 70,980 deaths in 2019 were due to drug overdose, which is more than the previous record of 70,699 deaths set in 2017. Experts fear that next year, these numbers may increase due to the situation with coronavirus infection.
