Covid-19 is an infection transmitted by airborne droplets and contact, and the use of protective equipment does not guarantee protection against it. In order for our body to have an idea about this virus and be able to eliminate it, when faced with an infectious agent, it is necessary to prepare immunity, which is the essence of vaccination. Its widespread implementation will help to reduce the number of infected persons, and, as a result, the pandemic will decline.

All research centers in the world are actively working on the creation of the coveted vaccine since the beginning of the pandemic. A vaccine developed by the University of Oxford triggers an immune response. So, the first tests on the human body took place in May in the United States. Chinese researchers have developed protective antibodies for military testing. Other developments are in the process of authorizing clinical trials in humans.

In most cases, vaccine development takes months or even years. In this case, the Covid-19 vaccine promises to be available by mid-2021. But it remains to be seen if it will work. Nevertheless, we must not forget that, unfortunately, there are 4 more subspecies of coronavirus that can also pose a threat to humanity.
