The eastern philosophy

Nowadays, non-traditional medicine is popular, which is more often associated with Chinese treatments, where the importance of energy balance in the body is mentioned. From a philosophical point of view, energy is closely related to mental and physical health. That’s what we’re going to talk about today.

The concept of energy is one of the main orientations in Eastern philosophy. «Qi» in China, «Prana» in India, «Pneum» in Greece, it’s all energy, which is tightly intertwined with air.Indeed, where the air moves, there goes the energy that determines the state of physical and mental health, harmony in consciousness and well-being in general.

Ancient Chinese philosophers, as well as doctors, found in the human body «windows» - special receptors intended for energy supply. The so-called «windows» correspond to acupuncture points distributed throughout the body. These biologically active points are located on all mucous membranes of the organism, from the oral cavity to the intestine, and serve as a cross point of contact with the external environment.

These receptors are the beginning of the channels through which energy moves, and as long as it is present, the body performs its activity. These channels, called «meridians», are in all human organs. Chinese philosophers have identified 12 pairs and 2 unparalleled classical meridians, which circulate the vital energy «chi». There is also a reserve of energy transmitted to the offspring, embedded in the kidneys.

The third species is psychic energy, which has been studied in detail by Indian philosophers. This energy moves only as the meridians of the nervous system move. In ancient India, seven mental centres along the spinal cord were identified: mulladhara, swajistan, manipura, anahata, vishshudha, ajna, sahasrara. Each of these centre generates and receives energy.

The main axiom held by the followers of this philosophy was: «if energy moves in the right direction, then necessary air is directed for the good». Thus, in the treatment process, ancient thinkers took into account the interaction of the information and astral characteristics of objects.

Therefore, it can be said that Eastern philosophy is the most important component of world philosophy, possessing significant historical, substantive and ideological identity.
